The Roar of the Rockies is reloaded for 2019 with Pro Lift Crane Service on hand to do the heavy lifting. The Roar of the Rockies is set in stunning Water Valley, a peaceful environment with the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. That is until the roar of the powerboat engines goes rumbling around the lake, shattering the tranquility.
First held in 2000 the race continued to be a huge attraction until 2007 when once more the silence ensued. The powerboat race has been reloaded for 2019 and this year it promises to be better than ever.
Headlining the races held at the event will be Formula 1 style tunnel boat racing with boats reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. High above sea level, the race does bring challenges to the teams and drivers, who are more used to racing at sea level. Teams work non-stop weeks before the event to ensure the engine modifications of the powerboats can deal with the altitude without speed deficiency. This is a feat in itself and essential if drivers want to be the first across the finish line.
While the event itself has not changed on its return from a 12-year absence, the same cannot be said about the Water Valley area. Thanks to an increase in development in the region, the area is booming, with Windsor, along with the communities surrounding, offering a great deal more choices for fans attending by way of dining and shopping options.
If you have never attended the Roar of the Rockies before you are in for a treat. For 2019, fans will enjoy an event featuring numerous classes of race boats. These include the Tri Hill class, Formula 1 lights (aka Mini F1) and not forgetting the stars of the event, the sleek and fast Formula 1 powerboats. Of course, there will be the traditional array of food vendors, entertainment and exhibitors on-site to ensure that fans have an amazing experience without having to move away from any of the action.
The organizers of the Roar of the Rockies have made it very easy to obtain tickets this year.
You can ensure you get a place at the event by purchasing early bird tickets online at the Roar of the Rockies website.
Pro Lift is one of the sponsors of this year’s Roar of the Rockies, playing a crucial role in the races. Staff will be on hand providing support and assistance with three cranes. Two of the mobile cranes will be used to get the boats in and out of the water, while a third will be used at the weigh-in station. Take a look below at some of the pictures from previous races. We hope to see you there!
