A professional wedding photographer from Denver, Colorado, Jake Murray is a huge fan favorite of the show American Ninja Warrior and a hero of many children inspired by his determination, motivating antics and bravery. Murray has competed in four ANW tournaments so far and contacted Pro Lift to help with his training for the highly competitive games seen on AMW.

Jake Murray’s History on American Ninja Warrior
For those of you unfamiliar with the show, American Ninja Warrior is a popular sports competition show spun off from a Japanese show called Sasuke. Featuring hundreds of competitors like Jake Murray who attempt to complete various obstacle courses that increase in difficulty. The hope of all ANW competitors is to advance to the national finals in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Murray at American Ninja Warrior 7
First appearing on ANW 7 in Kansas City, Jake Murray completed the first obstacle course with the 5th fastest time against over 35 other competitors. Making it all the way to the Las Vegas finals, Murray had the 2nd fastest time in the Stage One course and celebrated by performing an impromptu cannonball in the water below him. Unfortunately, Murray fell off of the second obstacle during the Stage Two course.

By the time Murray returned to ANW, he had become a huge fan favorite. Murray placed 2nd in the competition in Indianapolis, sending him to the finals in Las Vegas again.
After completing the Stage One course in Las Vegas with the fastest time, Murray removed a pair of goggles from his fanny pack in preparation of diving into the water below him. Before diving, he pulled a corn dog out of his fanny pack and took a bite of the corn dog before diving in!
This time on the Stage Two course, Murray was able to make it all the way to the 5th obstacle before he lost his grip strength and fell in the water below.
American Ninja Warrior 9
Returning to Denver for ANW 9, Jake Murray delighted fans by making his entrance on a segway and kicking away his helmet at the start line. Unfortunately, Murray’s inspiring mood faded as he was unexpectedly eliminated while on the 3rd obstacle–the Bouncing Spider.
American Ninja Warrior 10
For ANW 10, Murray once again qualified for the Las Vegas finals by competing in Minneapolis with the 3rd fastest time. In the Las Vegas finals, he completed Stage One of with the fastest time of any competitor. Murray’s time in Las Vegas was made fun and memorable by Grant McCartney pretending to be Murray’s “shoe caddy” at the start line of the obstacle course. See the clip below for his incredible run:
